Canine Cough or tracheobronchitis is a highly contagious canine illness characterized by inflammation of the upper respiratory system. It is so named because the infection can spread quickly among dogs, such as in the close quarters of a kennel. Both viral and bacterial causes of canine (or kennel) cough are spread through the air by infected dogs sneezing and coughing. It can also spread through contact with contaminated surfaces and through direct contact.
F10SC Veterinary Disinfectant is effective against Canine Cough. F10SC kills Canine Cough at a dilution of 1:500 with 10 minutes contact time.
We would recommend our general disease control dilution of 1:250 as this is likely to kill Canine Cough in a shorter time period, and the higher concentration will also help if there is organic matter present.
Our Fogmaster Tri-Jet ® 6208 fogger when used with F10SC ensures airbourne pathogens carrying Canine Cough are also exposed to the disinfectant, not just those found on surfaces and equipment. It is easy to perform and highly cost-effective as relatively little product is used.
We also have Disinfection mats which are designed to assist with biosecurity and disease control. For human use, at entrances to disease-sensitive premises, the mats replace the traditional footbath and improve OH&S by reducing tripping and spillage.
